Since 2003 our main stay in steelworks is fabrication and installation of pot shells and superstructures.Pot shell and superstructure components are developed on specially made jigs and fixtures. SAW and MIG welding process is deployed. IPPL has seventy ton mobile cranes for site fabrication work.
We finished fabrication work in 280 KA Pot line, Pot Shells weighing approx. 45 MT. Each finished superstructure weighing approx. 13 MT. We have also worked in 85 KA pot lines during conversion of Hindalco Smelters from soderberg system to Pre-baked system, at Hirakud
